Effective immediately, the only property that our office will be accepting for county inmates is necessity items that are not available to be purchased through the commissary. This would be, but not limited to:
2. Paperback books, limited to 3. Books can only be dropped off and picked up during normal visitation with the inmate. Books can only be accepted for the visiting inmate only.
Anything not listed WILL NOT be accepted.
Tobacco products are not allowed in the jail
Visitation is Tuesday and Wednesday 0900 - 1100, by appointment only. Visitors must be at least 18 years of age. All juveniles must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visits are 15 minutes long. Inmates may have only one visit per week. Each visitor may only visit once per week. Visitation does fill up quickly so there may not be immediate visiting for the following week, however, we can schedule you for the first available appointment. Appointments can not be made for same day visits. Visitors must leave ALL personal items (purses, cell phones, cameras, food, etc...) in their vehicle. They will only be allowed car keys. YOU WILL BE ENTERING A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY.
Phone cards can be purchased for $10.00 cash through our office. Commissary money can be put on the books through our office; this MUST be in the form of a money order only. Please make money orders out to McClain Co. Sheriff's Office with inmates name in the remarks section.
We can no longer accept messages delivered in person through the office. Any correspondence or messages must come through the mail at the address below. Please include the inmate's name. We are also not able to take any messages for the inmates via telephone; those too can come through the mail.
